BathPlanet of Inland Empire - BAD EXPERIENCE!!
At our insistence, BathPlanet inspected the shower conversion and admitted the pan and two shelves were not right. After a three month ordeal, the defective installation was ripped out and a new pan and walls/shelves were installed correctly. BathPlanet charged us a high price for a hassle-free installation that they failed to deliver.
We contracted with BathPlanet of Inland Empire to have one shower stall replaced and one bathtub converted to a shower.
We were repeatedly promised to never be without at least one functional shower. This was untrue. Both showers were unfinished for a four-day period. The effort and expense of making one of the unfinished showers usable was left up to us at the last minute on a Friday night.
The promised two-day installation ended up taking five days.
The bathtub conversion pan flexes and creaks when stepped on by a person weighing less than 150 pounds.
BathPlanet's website advertises a "guarantee" of communication. Most of our calls were ignored. The calls that were returned were several days late.
Jennifer, at BathPlanet corporate, was notified of our complaints via a detailed, certified letter.
When told of our complaints, two BathPlanet employees promised to "make things right", as guaranteed on their company website. This never happened.
The final cost of $16,300.00 was far too high for all the broken promises, false guarantees, and product concerns we have had to endure.

Shaddy company, Raffles are 100% lies, predatory sales with elderly
I worked for BathPlanet of Charlotte NC in Ft. Mill Sc for 3 months.
They go under the name of Paradise home Improvement. They have changed their name countless times from Dixie Home Crafters, Gutter Guard, now Paradise and Gutter Guardian. They ripped me off with my last check and reduced my salary to minimum wage. The practice predatory sales and sit in elderly peoples homes for hours on end until they sign a contract.
I have seen them sell walk in tub to a quadriplegic in N. Wilkesboro, NC who also had a 90 year old disabled woman and a 300lb other women living in the house. there was only 6" clearance from the toilet to get into the tub. There are many other jobs I inspected that are completely shoddy work.
They state at home shows that there is a free $5000.00 dollar raffle that the general manager does on Monday Mornings, this is a complete lie. Please report them to the Department of Justice Consumer Fraud Department.
Bath Planet - Remodeling Review from Lauderhill, Florida
This is the worst company i ever worked for! They will start working in your bathroom and leave it unfinished for weeks to months, do plumbing without permits (water supply and drain lines altered) wont even pay there employee's the money thats owed to them.
Wont answer the phone for customers with there bathrooms demolished and half complete, just tell the customer that we will put a rush on it and it still takes 2 weeks. Cheap quality walls, and its 3 pieces, a couple of customer's were told by salesmen that it was a 1 piece wall. The staff is nothing but liars. I recommend that you do not get ripped off by this band of criminals, and the pricing is outrageous.
Not worth the aggrevation.

How is this company in business for longer than a week?
Anonymous must be related to someone at Bath Planet or "owns" his/her Bath Planet franchise. I just find this comment funny because I specifically asked this question to the sales Rep that came to my home because I had never heard of Bath Planet before.
His words exactly, "no, we are one company in multiple areas across the country". Took it as the truth because like I said, never heard of them before. The entire "presentation" (AKA, fools sale pitch), was comical. One of the reasons, IN THEIR OWN PRESENTATION, as to why they are a company you should do business with, is because they are punctual and timely.
THE REP WAS 45 MINUTES LATE TO MY HOUSE... ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! The negotiating of the "work price" (AKA pick a random dollar amount from a hat) was even more comical. He took a simple measurement of a standard tub, showed me my options, wrote it up and said the suggested price was $9,500.
But because that day was a "special one day sale price" (who are you trying to kid), they could do the work for $5,500. I flat out said, you've got to be kidding me. $5,500 for that? My brother is a contractor and he could re-do my entire bathroom for that price!
He told me he was not authorized to go below that. I left the room for 2 minutes for something and came back and he said, what if I said we could do it for $3,500? 2 minutes ago you weren't "Authorized" to go below $5,500. Now you just cut your price by more than 33%?
It was at this point I realized what a joke this company is and if that is how they conduct "business" their product probably sucks just as much. STAY AWAY FROM THIS “COMPANY” EVEN WASTING YOUR TIME WITH A QUOTE!
Don't even get an estimate!
Bath Planet of Toledo, OH is trying to get a foot hold in the Detroit, MI area (Canton, MI location) and had a booth set up at a Birmingham, MI art fair. We listened to the salesman and asked to have someone com out and give an estimate.
We told they would be out the next day. Well, two hours before the appointment they called and asked if I was the homeowner and I said yes, my spouse and I were. He said they like to have both owners home for the estimate. I told them I could make decisions about materials myself.
They said okay and that they would see me in a few hours. An hour before they were to be at our house I received another call from some one else asking if I were the home owner again. He said they needed both of us there before they would come out for the estimate. I said we both didn't need to be home for an estimate and that if they were going to try and hard sell me I would just get another company to come out.
He hung up on me. having been a salesman, I found this to be very unprofessional. I have had many people give us estimates with only one of us at home.
My advice is to stay away from these guys.

Do Not Recommend Bath Planet
Had a shower enclosure put into my home about a year ago. They came out twice to repair a problem with water under the floor.
One year later there is still water under the floor and squishy. You would think that a company that sells a product like this would follow up on customer satisfaction. product. I actually love the shower wall design and it looks great.
Just that the floor sucks. I am really disappointed in the floor design.
Technician said that he had no idea how the water was getting in there. I would never recommend a bath planet
Brea Ca office has not returned repeated phone to address warranty issue
We had a bath & shower installed by Bath Planet in Feb 2015. All was well & good and we were very satisfied with the whole process from beginning to end.
A couple of months later we had a warranty issue regarding the soap holders The material used to glue them turned Orange. They came out & fixed that. Now 2 months later the same thing has happened with the soap holders. This time we have made several phone calls to the company the CEO Rob & Chris in the office but as of 9/1 no response.
It has been 8 days since the first phone call. Im concerned that if something happens in a year or so will these guys honor the warranty? As of right now they are not . A good honest company always honors their warranty I would not recommend Bath Planet to anyone with dishonest people like this.
They took our money quick enough but now they offer no help Be aware of these guys in the Brea Ca office Rob , Chris & George zero integrity & very dishonest.
They have lost 4 deals because they are unprofessional and have 0 integrity that I could have brought to them. Not now we are having our front bathroom remodeled in the spring but will not be using Bath Planet.

Bath Planet Staff Review from Palatine, Illinois
Would never use this company! Their sales rep at our local Street Fest was so rude!!
She was barking at adults and kids and using inappropriate language. She should not be dealing with people in any respect, let alone be in the sales field!
UNPROFESSIONAL
SALESMAN SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND OBNOXIOUS, I THREW HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES! HE QUOTED $ 14,000 JUST FOR TUB TO SHOWER CONVERSION AND $7,000 FOR A CUT OUT IN THE TUB!!!
NOTHING ELSE DONE...NO NEW FLOOR, NO NEW CABINET AND MEDICINE CABINET, NO NEW ANYTHING ELSE. I ASKED HIM HOW DID HE ARRIVE AT THESE FIGURES? WHAT IS THE BREAKDOWN OR ITEMIZED VERSION? HE SAID BECAUSE HE SAID IT AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT AN HOUR AND 1/2 TO FIND OUT AFTER PICKING COLORS.
HE TOLD ME I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOME IMPROVEMENT AND THAT TALKING TO US WAS EXHAUSTING! I TOLD HIM TO GET OUT OF MY HOUSE.

Thank you!!
Dear fellow reviewers,
I can't thank you enough for writing about your experience with Bath Planet. I had them over on Aug 13, 2015 to give me a quote on installing a shower and closet in my master bath. To give you an idea, the neighborhood is 25+ years old and the average house price is $250.000. After listening to the Sales Rep's marketing presentation about how wonderful the company is, I received a quote of $13,257!!!! The quote was written on a piece of paper with no line item breakdown. The only quote near that is $9,300 and that quote includes updating fixtures, tiling floors, painting, moving plumbing, installing a new exhaust fan/light combo. The product they use seems high quality, but the unprofessional quote, high price and your reviews have knocked them out of the competition.
Thanks again so much for your reviews!! I know I have made the right decision.

The most unprofessional company I've come across in a long time. Set up an appt for estimate explained it was my son's home and he lives out of state.
Power of atty in place. Appt set up last week. Confirmed with me on Friday and then revs another annoying call to c/b to confirm. Spoke to them at 9 this morning and everything was set up for 1:30 appt.
they called at noon to say my so needed to be on the premises in order for them to one out. After speaking with my atty he stated that was crazy since I will be hiring and paying for the job but the power of atty would suffice even though no necessary.
The good news is that when I went on line to blog irradiated all the complaints. Thank god I didn't do business with this shabby company!
My Experience With Bath Planet
I'm a senior citizen with a heart problem. I'd saved the money I needed to have changes made to my bathroom in order to keep my independence for as long as possible. For the sake of my safety, I needed to replace the tub with a walk in shower. I did my homework carefully. I only got quotes from people who specialized in bathrooms. I didn't even consider general contractors. The only thing I didn't realize is that these national franchises can be a haven for amateurs and newly established companies with no history. My bad. That's what my BathPlanet was. I'll never deal with such a place again and I will surely warn others. I chose BathPlanet because I really liked John Via, the salesman. He's a very nice man. He made me believe in him. i thought he was honest. He was not.
They promised to respect my home and my time. They did neither. First of all, they were a day late getting started. When they removed the old toilet, I could not believe how they left the bathroom with a wide open, gaping hole for rats, mice, snakes, good size wild animals and the cold winds of winter to enter my home. This was the first week of February. I almost panicked when I saw it. Grown men should know better. I panicked and did the best I could do with what I had to secure my house for the night. It didn't help the fact I couldn't sleep for the nightmares I had all night long.
Come morning I was feeling very poorly and Will and his Dad were coming to work on my bathroom. I continued to feel worse and told them I was going to lie down on the couch in case they needed me for anything. First, I called my daughter to tell her how my heart was racing and how my whole body was so trembly. She came immediately and being a nurse, decided I had to get to the hospital as soon as possible. I called John Via to tell him I had to go to the hospital and did not wish to leave workers here alone. He asked me to find someone to stay with them. I did that. As it turned out, I was suffering from severe panic attacks brought on by stress.
When the shower was finally installed and I tried to use it, I had no access to hot water. I thought it was the newness of the faucet fixture and didn't want to turn it hard enough to break something. After days of horrid, shocking, cold showers, I called John Via and he came to take a look. The faucet fixture had a setting on it that had not been set.
While they were tearing out the old walls, they knocked the cover off the thermostat for my bathroom heater. I found it on the floor in the trash. I picked it up and put it on the vanity and told John about it. When they finished tearing out the walls in there, it was gone again. I told John immediately and asked that they look through the trash and try to find it. John was nice, as he always was. He said they might have to have something cut at a machine shop. I thought he would do it. I think he thought that too. Now I think he just lied because he never did it. What he did was take a plastic folder from his case and cut a piece from it to act as a cover. That's all I ever got from him on that.
In the meantime, they installed new toilets in the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. The one upstairs always worked fine. The one downstairs did not and has never worked properly. They worked with it and tried, even had a certified plumber to look at it. They even changed it out to a new one, the commode but never the tank. It still leaks inside the bowl on the right side and from about 8 of the jets that let the water into the bowl. It leaks 24 / 7. Not good for my water supply or my septic system. With my hard water, it also leaves hard to remove, streaks of rust stain at every leaky jet. It's not their fault I have hard water, but it is their fault I have a defective toilet. I had hoped the money I spent on my bathroom would make my life a little easier as I grow older. I haven't the strength or stamina required to do all that scrubbing. I'm sure the manufacturer had a bad lot of toilets. It happens.
The towel bar that was installed almost immediately fell off the wall. I let John Via, the installer on that day know about it. He put it back up with a comment that "My kind of wall was hard to put something up on and keep it tight." John Via also installed the toilets. I reminded him that I had had a towel rack there that had been there since the house was built and it had NEVER loosened. He had to agree. I still have to be careful with that towel bar. If I just pull a towel off of it, it will still fall off the wall.
You don't have to take my word for all of this. I know that John Via will admit that every word I have told you is true.
I have many copies of emails to verify my story and the time I had BarhPlanet in and out of my house. What should have been 3 days turned into weeks and weeks. It grew very tiresome. At the sight o them, I wanted to run and hide.
And about that warranty from the BathPlanet franchise? Guess who they forwarded my complaint to? Why, John Via, of course.

Bath Planet - Bath Sealing Review from Fort Wayne, Indiana
Salesmen are exactly that...salemen. They tell you what you want to hear and when all is said amd done you dont get what you paid for.
BP scams you out of money with a shaddy product. Having leaks amd its the second time around for them.
They dont seal properly and installation is below par.
Bath Planet - Walk In Tub Review from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Salesman took 21/2 hours of our time to tell us he could give us a price lower than our lowest quote. We told him repeatly we needed a "walk in tub" since I am having double knee replacement in Oct.
when the installers brought the tub it was not what we ordered ! Then I called the manager only to be given a hard time about what we ordered. After 2 weeks we finally signed a contract for what we needed. It took another month to get the tub installed.
The installers did a great job and only Alex at the store was helpful. They told us we would have to keep the original tub in our garage and sell it on Craig's List!
I wish I would have read the reviews first ! Management and sales department awful !
Waste of my time and money
We were told that the project would take 6-8 weeks from the time that we signed the contract. Well it took about 12 weeks and was a complete rip off.
There was very poor communication and every time that I called they had no clue what I was talking about. I told them that I wanted gray grout and somehow I ended up with white. I was told that after mopping a few times the true color will come out, yep its still white. The material is poor, the doors were put on wrong and the glass is impossible to clean.
Paid WAY too much money for a bathroom that I have spent more time trying to fix than was put into remodeling it. Will NEVER use bath planet or granite transformations again!!!!!!

Thats' one expensive shower! Being a contractor I can tell you most remodles take much longer then 5 days. I'm not sure what your whining about other then a classic case of cognitive dissonance.
